Walter has always wanted to drive lorries and work within the transportation sector, but his journey to becoming one of our full-time delivery drivers has taken him across the world. Over the years, he’s cultivated his skills to achieve exceptional standards for delivering customer services and applied them to his teamwork, as well as to establishing rapport with our clientele.
Originally born in Costa-Rica, Walter grew up in Panama and worked as a bartender from a young age. Afterwards, he worked as a pool attendant for a Caribbean cruise ship until moving to the UK, and then gained employment in a local technology company. He initially joined us in a part-time position and supported our warehouse operation during peak periods. Over time he became a regular member of the team and became inspired to join in more within our operational logistics setup.
Now working as a full-time LGV delivery driver, Walter brings his cross-departmental knowledge of Mixed Freight to the daily operations and deliveries. With his charming and heart warming characteristics, he works with people throughout the supply chain to make sure his work is on time, and consignments are safely and securely delivered. By retaining strong customer and employer relationships he upholds and sustains customer satisfaction. Walter strives to provide rolling updates on his progress throughout the day, keeping our customers informed about their deliveries and collections.
For Walter, the most rewarding part of his job at Mixed Freight is the daily teamwork he’s part of, planning and preparing for a successful day’s work; as well as making staff and customers happy. Even in challenging circumstances, Walter is sure to maintain a cool composure, working alongside his co-workers to strategise how to overcome logistical obstacles.
